Baby Tries Ice Cream For First Time: It was love at first bite for one infant who tried Baskin-Robbins ice cream for the first time.

In a viral video “Baby Tries Ice Cream For First Time”, first uploaded to TikTok before making its rounds on the internet, 9-month-old Blakely Jernigan is seen tasting an ice cream on a waffle cone. A shock to her taste buds, the infant goes wide-eyed, brings the ice cream to her little chest and clearly makes no plans of ever letting go.

You can hear her parents giggling in the background as they try and pull away the ice cream from her tiny grip. But Blakely wasn’t having it!

She buries her face in what can only be the single most best tasting treat she’s ever had—wait until she tries all the flavors.

It’s probably hard to remember your first time trying ice cream…after all, aren’t we just all born loving this stuff? But one Baby Tries Ice Cream For First Time taste test is going viral for just how adorable—and relatable—her reaction is.

Brittani Jernigan shared this adorable video on Tik Tok of her 9-month-old daughter Blakely, trying her first bite of a Baskin-Robbins ice cream cone…her first ice cream ever, according to an interview Brittani gave to The Today Show.

In the video, that’s now been seen millions of times across Tik Tok, Twitter, and Facebook, Blakely can be seen hesitantly taking a bite of ice cream as her father holds the cone. Once she has her first taste, though, Blakely’s face went wide and she immediately grabbed onto the cone in an attempt to get some more.

Brittani told Today that she and her husband are pretty used to their daughter’s wide range of expressions.

“She’s very comical. She makes a lot of funny faces, and she’s very bossy, so it’s a typical reaction for her,” she said.

But that didn’t stop the internet from sharing the video widely and getting a ton of joy out of Blakely’s first experience with ice cream. As many people noted, this is how a lot of us feel when we eat ice cream still, we just are better at hiding it.

Baby Tries Ice Cream For First Time

Trying out new foods on a baby is worse than a game of roulette. You spin the wheel, but you never know which new food is going to be a winner. Given our mature palates, it’s not surprising babies don’t care for plain mashed peas or that they turn their little button noses up at soggy rice cereal.

But for someone who’s had nothing but milk for their entire lives, anything should feel like a step up. And yet, we find ourselves cleaning failed attempts at sweet potatoes out of our own hair time and again. Simply put, babies can be picky…unless of course, we are talking about ice cream. Ice cream always wins, as you’re about to see in this video of “Baby Tries Ice Cream For First Time”.

The following video, “Baby Tries Ice Cream For First Time”which went viral within days of hitting social media last week, shows nine-month-old Blakely Jernigan taking her first tastes of ice cream while her mother, Brittani Jernigan, videos the reaction. Jernigan shared Blakely’s reaction on Tik Tok – and soon it was taking over the internet. Not only is it adorably heartwarming despite the cold subject matter, it’s oh-so-relatable.

According to an interview Jernigan gave the Today Show, little Blakely is always making funny expressions, but even her parents knew this was something special. Her first taste was met with contemplation…understandable. But within mere moments, her eyes go wide, and she’s committed to that ice cream cone in a way in which even the oldest among us can relate. Her enthusiasm hits such a high that her parents have to tell her to let go…and again, I get it.

As often happens with viral videos “Baby Tries Ice Cream For First Time”, regular people have a moment that they find special or comical and they want to share it with their family and friends. But every so often, that moment is so relatable that the whole world wants to be part of it. With hundreds of thousands of views across multiple social media platforms in less than a week, all we can say is, “We get it, Blakely.” After all, there aren’t many of us who haven’t had that exact same reaction to ice cream.
